“I have an outlet(s) that has stopped working for no reason”
Has the customer checked their breaker box to make sure a circuit breaker hasn’t tripped? Sometimes the circuit
breaker will not flip all the way to the opposite side so it is best to push it towards the correct direction even if it doesn’t
look flipped.
Is it a GFCI outlet? These are normally outlets located in kitchens and bathrooms. There are 2 square buttons between
the plugs, one says ‘Test’ and one says ‘Reset’. If the GFCI outlet trips it can cause multiple outlets to fail, even ones in
other rooms. Have the customer push the ‘Test’ button, then the ‘Reset’ button.
“My smoke detector won’t stop beeping!”
How long has it been since the batteries have been changed? Remove the cover and replace batteries as needed. If the smoke detector is wired, there will be a button that has to be pressed and held while the other smoke detectors in the home sync. This should take no more than 60 seconds
